The result of the work of several artists, historians and particularly
sex therapists is setting to open its door this summer in London.


What is being called “the first sex-related theme park” will occupy
over 10.000 square feet of a building near Piccadilly Circus, and
it’s designed to promote a better understanding of sex and
relationship problems. However, directors say that differently from
the so called “sex museums” in Barcelona, Paris and Amsterdam, the
Academy of Sex & Relationships where we see in fact a celebration to
pornography.

They say they want to avoid the sleazy image presented in such
museums and promote a modern thinking on sexuality. For that reason,
the museum declined all funding from companies related with the sex
industry. The museum aims to combine high tech and interactive
exhibits, to offer sexual health and educational messages to be both
enlightening and entertaining. The organization expects nothing less
than 500.000 visitors next year.
